Abe’s Peanut: the “new” children’s book!
Each issue is a story collaboration between one artist and one writer. The story is serialized in four parts, printed on postcards, and mailed to child subscribers once per week. It’s a fun new way to get kids excited about reading.
Did you know that children in the US spend more time with media and digital activities than they do with their families or in school? Abe’s Peanut gives kids something to look forward to that doesn’t come from the computer or the TV. The postcards — collaborations between fine artists and writers — are pieces of art, functioning as stories, mail and inspirational tools.
Sisters Anna and Tess Knoebel founded Abe’s Peanut in June 2010 after the successful launch of Abe’s Penny, their photography and literature magazine for adults.
